Joey Flores, “Caregiver”

A collection of short plays weaving together stories of haunting memories of self, family and home. It tells of intergenerational conflicts between fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, friends confronting their views on gay marriage and migrants searching for lost identities in the wilderness of diáspora.

Joey Flores plays an unnamed caregiver in a play by Lorely Trinidad. The 10-minute vignette recounts the routines of a live-in caretaker for an elderly person while fielding phone calls from the homeland.
